There never was a man who did anything great,
who did not also inspire others to hate.
For having, being, or doing what others could not,
the jealous find ways, great names to blot.
What an immodest and selfish creature is man
who says "none can be greater than I am",
killing genius and brilliance out of mere jealousy,
surrendering hope for all in the name of greed.
Regardless of accomplishments, the great deliver,
it can all be sold for 30 pieces of silver.
The greatest names stretching back through time,
lives cut short by twisted reason and rhyme.
